| We are located in Santa Isabel, a small town not far from Ponce , the second largest city of Puerto Rico, one hour from San Juan by Highway 52, facing the Caribbean Sea, near two beautiful small bays with sandy beaches and coconut palm trees, not far from many keys and from a small island named Isla Caja de Muertos[Coffin Island]. Isla Caja de Muertos is a beautiful key with a lot of dry forest vegetation and when is looked from far away it looks like an ancient type coffin floating on the water. Besides and beyond its surroundings Santa Isabel is also famous by the thoroughbred horses . On 1955 a horse named Camarero, set a World Record when won the fifty-sixth consecutive race. He suddenly died on August 27, 1956. One day before the decease he won his seventy-third race. The record still nowadays. In his honor we have a statue at one of the town entrances . Our AA baseball team is named Los Potros[TheColts]. Great Danes of Marinautic, officially started in the beginning of the nineties but our first Dane was in the mid-seventies when we bought our first black Great Dane. Chico was very intelligent and protector of our children. He did never allow strangers to get closed to them. Almost two years after the acquisition of Chico, we bought Darkness, a black female. From that couple we didn't have any litter because Darkness suffered a hip fracture. By that time the breed was not well known in Puerto Rico and we didn't have descendants from Chico. After Chico passed away we tried other breeds but no one made us forget the Great Dane. Few years later we bought Queenie who years later became into the mother of Jack Tar Sailor of Marinautic. Sailor was our first show dog. Chanoz Caribbean King[Kino] is our first imported dog. He finished his international title on 2002. Harle Towers Carioca is our imported female. She is a nice harlequin from one of the best Brazilian lines. We put all our hopes on the future breeding of Kino and Carioca. Carioca is our foundation bitch. We do not breed for profit and rarely breed a bitch more than three times. We seriously breed for fun and the the incomes from puppy sales never pay the expenses. We reserve for ourself the right of not to sell a puppy to a person who we may think could not give the best care to the puppy. |
